losing connection

Postby avidal » Fri Jul 22, 2011 7:48 am

I purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and built in Bluetooth. I just installed Street Atlas 2011 and, after much frustration, got the gps to connect via bluetooth. From the GPS status display at the bottom of the screen, I click on start GPS and it starts and goes to the map (with a horrible car instead of the arrow I used to have in my 2009 version). So far so good. I move around and it works fine. Then I try and go back to the GPS info to see bearing or satellites and immediately I lose connection (No GPS). If I try and restart GPS, I get a message that says it can't open specified Com Port :!: How can I fix this?

Please help me fix this. So far this version of the software is useless to me. If I can't get rid of the car and cant get the satellite status panel I don't want it. I'd rather just go back to the 2009 software. If so, how can I use the old software with the new maps?

My apologies folks. I was very frustrated with getting the program to connect to my bluetooth gps when I finally got it I was short on the trigger...
