I bought the SA 2010 Plus/BT-20 package directly from Delorme.
I can't get a bluetooth connection although originally I did for a half hour or so. I have Windows 7 64 bit on an ASUS UL20A laptop. I have a ABE bluetooth dongle and what I think are Microsoft drivers. I just plugged the dongle in and it worked. At first I got a bluetooth connection to the BT-20, solid blue led on it, but could not get it to see sats at all, NOTHING AT ALL, but it would show connected in SA 2010 on com4.. So I read here and tried to fix it. Removed the device from bluetooth. Now bluetooth won't even see the BT-20. I never did see TWO com ports as sometimes mentioned here and in troubleshooting at tech support. Only one com port, COM4.
What bothers me the most is it won't find sats even wired USB. I also have a LT-40 which does work fine. BT-20 doesn't work sitting in the same spot with the same sat view Lt-40 sees. Unplug LT-40, plug in BT-20, nothing but flashing red (and battery charge light of course). Multiple reboots of computer, restarting SA 2010, nothing makes it work for finding sats connected via USB and it won't connect bluetooth.
I don't even know what else to try. Any help??
Edit: I plugged the bluetooth dongle into a desktop computer. Windows 7, this time 32 bit, found it. Click to add bluetooth device, it saw the BT-20. Add it and now it adds TWO COM ports, COM6 and COM7. incoming and outgoing. Still no solid blue on BT-20, still can't connect SA 2010, get error dialog can't open COM port or can't find COM port, or whatever the dialog box says. Only one bluetooth dongle in the house, no other bluetooth devices at all. Plugged BT-20 via USB after removing bluetooth dongle from computer. It won't even see sats just like USB connection to laptop. I let it sit 20 minutes, not one db on any sats. Connect LT-40, bingo, 20 seconds later, 3d sat connection, both receivers sitting in the same spot. BT-20 won't get 1db on ONE satellite at any time, nothing.
