BlackBerry and Delorme BT-20

Hello All,

My earthmate USB cable broke and I finally decided to upgrade to the BT-20 with the latest SA 2010.

I have a Blackberry Curve .. Is anyone familar with these two devices working together?

I did some Googling in the forums and couldn't find anyone posting about the BlackBerry Curve, but did get some hits on the older ones.

There have been folks trying to get the BT-20 working with other phones interfacing with the BT in the phone. Read thru some of these topics and see if anything helps. I've messed with BT a lot, but not with a cellphone.

Wow .. I was able to make a good connection ... I've since upgraded to the Bold, but the GPS connection software is the same for both units

The Blackberry Bold has the default option of the device GPS, but once the Delorme BT-20 device has been connected via bluetooth .. we then have the option to selected either device the onboard GPS device or the bluetooth GPS device.

PROS:... at this time ... It will connect with the Blackberry and provide GPS data

CONS.... at this time: .... getting the bluetooth to connect consistently and easily ... (Still testing this one .. Once connected the connection appears to hold just fine .. but once I intentionally break the bluetooth connection and attemp to reconnect ...it take about 15 to 20 min playing around with options to reconnect )

Still working on what causing the long delay on the reconnect ...
