"Find Tab Did Not Initialize (ISO Error)"

When performing a search in DeLorme software, you may receive an error message that states, "Find Tab Did Not Initialize (ISO Error)."

If you recieve this error, please visit http://update.delorme.com to download and install the Magnetic Declination Update.

If you still recieve an error after running the update, follow the steps outlined in http://www.delorme.com/support/multi/multi049.asp

"MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible..."

I followed the directions and received the following error message when I tried to install the MDAC update:

"MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of it's features are currently part of Windows."

I cancelled the install as I didn't want to mess up Windows.

I'm running Windows XP Pro version 2002 service pack 2 on a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+.

Any suggestions.

Try just installing the Jet drivers.
- Turn off or disable your anti-virus
- Do the Jet drivers update
- reboot
- try the app again

MDAC and Jet Drivers

Why are you having to do this? Did you just install Topo 5.0?

If so, you also should do the T5 SP2 Update after you get rid of the Find Tab problem.

Jet did the trick

Installing the Jet drivers fixed the problem. Now I'll install the SP2 update.

Yes, I just installed Topo 5 on a new computer that replaces the ones ruined by Katrina.

Try this link, the did some work on the help system, and some older links got broken.

You didn't say what your problem was, but if you haven't run the DeLorme Magnetic Declination Update

you should try that first.

If this is a first install or a re-install, it needs done.
