TopoUSA 5.0 stopped doing profiles for tracks

I am still using TopoUSA 5.0, and downloaded a track from a Garmin Etrex Vista HCx for the first time in a few weeks. Everything went exactly as usual, except when I right-click the track there is no option to generate a profile. I tried importing a text version of the file containing the requisite BEGIN TRACK line, a bunch of lat-lon lines, and an END line. That too shows up as normal, but I still cannot profile the draw object. I can select profile for adjacent streets.

I then tried importing the tracks into an installation of Topo 5.0 on my notebook (which I use when traveling), and also into an installation on a windows Vista machine (which doesn't get used because TopoUSA displays random map sections as blanks, not sure if it's a Vista compatibility issue or a video driver issue, I just gave up on migrating this program and left it on my XP machine). Both of those machines gave the same problem - no option to profile the tracks.

I checked under the draw tab, and the track file is active. I also imported an old track which worked fine late last December, no luck.

Is there code in TopoUSA which disabled drawing track profiles after a certain date? Or am I missing something really obvious....
