Some questions...

Postby alia176 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 12:33 am

Sorry if these questions have been rehashed already but a search revealed lots of pages that I'm still going through.

First question:

This is a rather strange issue I'm experiencing with T5. I try to add a mapnote and the font is coming out all Vulcan like  As you know, the mapnote has two lines: top line is an URL link and the bottom line is where you type in your own descriptions. See the picture to see what I mean:

Second question:

I had T5 installed on another laptop with which I did TONS of Topo projects. Within these projects, I have documented many trails with mapnotes. When I open these projects using another laptop and T5, I get NOTHING. No mapnotes, no routes, etc. I'm sure I did something wrong but there isn't a whole lot of room for error when closing a project. Just save everything has been my motto.

Does anyone know how to recall the mapnotes and other stuff when i open these projects again?

TIA.

Draw tab - Select tool (button with an arrow on it). Then click on your MapNote. Various MapNote parameter options will be displayed at the bottom (color, size, etc.). Change the font to a more traditional font (e.g. Arial). Click Apply. Unselect the Select tool by clicking it again.

The font will remain as whatever you selected for all future MapNotes until you change it again.

Draw layers, Routes, and Project are all in different files and reside in different folders on your hard drive. If you still have the old laptop then copy everything (including all sub-folders) from your \DeLorme Docs\ folder and you should again see everything.

Thank you very much. I'll do as you suggested.

Hang on...let me go look....It's ACADEREF...I assume that refers to my AutoCAD Reference font? Dunno for sure but I think what happened is that I recently installed AutoCAD 2007 LT on this laptop and somehow T5 decided to use that as the base font :? Go figure!

edit: yes, it's a font from AutoCAD. I just checked.
