"No waypoints were found"

"No waypoints were found. Please synchronize . . ."

This message now appears when I try to exchange/receive waypoints from my PDA (Pocket PC), although I've done this many times in the past. I can exchange/receive gps logs ok, and the waypoints are indeed there, in C:\Documents and Settings\Ken\My Documents\Axim My Documents, same as always.

I just purchased and installed SA2008. Can it be that this installation has wiped out my ability to read waypoints into Topo2005?

My setup is:
Dell 9200 laptop with XP Pro, SP2 and all updates;
Dell Axim X5 with Pocket PC 2003 (Dell won't provide an update path to Windows Mobile - an iPaq is on order)
Topo USA 2005
SA2008
GPS is Holux GM-270 (compact flash form factor, works both in PDA and laptop).

Any ideas?

Delorme tech support answered this for me -

I had updated to ActiveSync 4.5; went back to 3.8, and got the waypoints.

Don't understand -- I could see the waypoints on my hard drive, but, well, that worked.

Something probably changed in the ActiveSync 4.5 update that broke DeLorme's conduit that communicates between the handheld and the PC when you sync. Reverting back, fixed it.
