Importing Aerial Photos

Postby mr_han_solo » Thu Apr 19, 2007 4:41 pm

Hello,
I have some aerial Photos from 1942, and 1959. The ones from 1942 I copied from my library, and the ones from 1959 are on the University Of Alabama website. I was wondering if it was possible to import these into TOPO USA.
Thanks,
Han

Welcome to the forum (and my generic/tailored help message)! Many people come to forums for the first time with good ideas, suggestions, or problem. Like many good ideas/suggestions/problems in the age of the internet, there's often a good chance you are not the first, and the search link, FAQ's, or posted stickies are a great spot to start.

Normally I recoemdn using the search box in the upper right. In this case, the in-program help is a good start.

I tried searching and found the below:
--------- If I found a link, I put it here: -----------
Try this: Run Topo >> F1 help >> Search >> add image to map

See this:
• Draw tab expand draw tools by click and hold:

General Help Note
There is lots of great help out there, all searchable.
• The program built-in Help button (upper-right corner) is very complete. You have both the fully-indexed searchable help files, and also the Users Guide which provides full details with pictures (a PDF manual which is wonderfully searchable via Acrobat 7 reader search).
• The DeLorme Help site. http://www.delorme.com/support/search.asp (less items than the manual, but better covered)
http://forum.delorme.com/search.php (advanced search engine for this forum--not the best search engine, but lots of info)
Just enter one or more words in the Search box that relate to the information that your looking for. If you get too many hits, add another word or two to narrow it down, or try an exact phrase search by entering the words in quotes or using "+" to show it's mandatory, or in forum search, alternate between the two radio button search types. If you don't get topics that sound right, change a word or two until you get topics that are related to what you need to know.

Standard Footer: When posting in the forum please remember this is NOT the official DeLorme support line, it's a peer/user support group (with occasional DeLorme assistance). This means users like me do *not* work for DeLorme, we provide support to each other. It is no one's job to answer your question, posts are replied to upon other individuals schedule and good graces. If an answer isn't presented here ask at the official DeLorme Product Support. DeLorme can't fix things if you don't tell them; post REAL bugs/suggestions in the one spot they do look: Product suggestions.
