This is my first attempt to load any files....but here it goes. These are a few local trails in York County. Let me know if they work or not....just trying to add something.

Mainemtnrover,

Thanks for the trails. I updated Revision 2.3 in the post I submitted on January 24 to include your trails. I do not include any on your personal waypoints as folks typically like to use their own. What I do is add my personal waypoints to my project so they show on the GPS.

Skidoodostie,

I can't work with the TPX file you uploaded. If you can upload the draw file (*.an1) I can add your trails.

Thanks to all for contributing,

Dave

Skidoodostie, thanks for the file. We now have an issue to see if we can find a work around for the different draw file structure between Topo 8 and Topo 9.

Does anyone know if there is a way to convert draw files from Topo 9 to Topo 8 (or visa versa)? I have Topo 8 and with 3 kids in college moving to Topo 9 is not in the plans right now.

Topo9 users, including me, should convert to .an1 files before posting on the forum. These .an1 files should be usable in both Topo8 and Topo9 for most line drawing purposes.

Skidoodostie try this ... viewtopic.php?p=169067#p169067 ... to get your tracks posted here in the .an1 draw file format.

Good idea John, I'm going to try to remember that in the future.

Topo North America 9 just does it's thing when importing the "old" .an1 files, it automatically converts them to .an2, but unfortunately with Topo USA 8 and previous Topo versions I don't think you can just import .an2 files straight into T8 through Draw > File > Import ?

i can convert my file to (.an1) but it increases my file size

current file (an2) is 848 kb
converted to (an1) is 3423 kb

I could break up my file to reduce the size. Is there any other way or am i missing something

No, I think you've got it now.

Wow, I knew .an2 compressed draw data some, but I didn't realize it was that much.

Post the whole .an1 file for now and see what dhubley is able to do with it ?

the problem is we are limited to file upload size on the forum. It only allows 2mb. I could split my file too upload it. In return Dave will not be able to load it using my file even if I split it. I have about 100 miles of local trails around the Belgrade lakes region.
I have combined 5 or 6 track logs (rides)to this one file, and edited out the double tracks using the draw file. ( All of the back tracking done on the trail) Trying to make it easier for Dave but I did not see this problem.

Let me know what you would like me to do.

Here is some updates for ITS 84 and Con 115 plus some local trails off from these. We stayed in new portland this weekend and rode to rangley-eustis-stratton-kingfield- bingham. Great weekend for riding. Just for a heads up the Irving station in Stratton is closed
