UTM Band and Number conversion seem incorrect.

Postby wcaver » Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:54 pm

Importing a layer of a DWF file in UTM. When asked for a the UTM band letter & number is use 14R, as indicated by XMAP. However, in the display the converted lat/long coordinates are incorrect. Also note in the attachments that when I change the band letter from R to T the Lat/Long does not change with it.
The coordinates in the attachment are incorrect for that band/number they should in the W30N101 neighborhood. As you can see in the attachment I have the display set for UTM,Nad27,statue miles.
Am I doing something wrong or does Xmap need a patch?

To the best of my recollection, XMap will not import .dxf or .dwg files in US Survey feet. Try saving or converting the file to meters.
