Adding base data

I want to add new streets to the Delorme base map in Editor 7.I draw the new streets using the roads tool in draw. I want these new streets to be included in all future projects without me having to load them all separately each time I create a project.
How do I do this? I have read the instructions in the manual but I can not get the streets to link to the base map.
