I'm trying to download some Ortho Imagery, I did it in the past from the MaineGIS website. In this case I want the town of Limington. I am using the following website
http://megiswebmaps.maine.gov/orthoviewer/default.aspx, I downloaded the tiles, but they are in *.jp2 format (JPEG 2000). It isn't *.SID like the old one I downloaded a while back for Cumerland Co. Xmap doesn't seem to want to use this file type. What are my options?
I just placed an order for a free download of "Digital Ortho County Mosaic of 7.5' quads by NRCS" from the USDA using this site:

You might try renaming the file extension to .sid, that has worked with some JPEG2000 files I've tried, but not all.

Just got around to trying to rename the file extension, it worked! Thanks a bunch. This Maine GIS site is a great resource. I had asked my town accessor for parcels, they were going to charge me. Come to find out they were all on the Maine GIS site for free.
The file I was able to download from USDA wasn't what I wanted anyway. You have to pay for them to send you the higher resolution ones.
