MapShare: lack of control features

When using MapShare, the map displayed does not show the full route. It cuts off both the start and finishing cities. (San Diego and Nashville) There does not seem to be any way to minipulate the map, no panning, or zoom features.
Are these controls available to the person I send the MapShare link to?
