Just upgrade to new maps

Postby avidal » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:00 am

How can I just upgrade my maps and keep my 2009 version? I don't like the 2011 version. Does anybody know if it is possible?

Don't think you can. I would like to do this, too, as the handheld software got dropped from 2011, yet the maps are more correct around my area after new highway construction in several places.
Are you the reason I'm so far above average?

IIRC the SA2009 version was released in Spring of 2008 ahead of the changes that were made to Topo8 later in the year in support of the PN-40. The SA2011 version would likely also have newer operating system support, and the Plus version is only an extra ten bucks. I have the SA2011 Plus version and like it, but I use the PN-60 for any road navigation instead of a computer.

I see no major differences for road routing or street mapping between SA2011 and Topo9, but both may differ from SA2009 in some respects.

SA 2009 won't work on Windows 7. Consequently I need to buy SA 2011. Will my SA 2009 maps "open" on the win7 computer with SA 2011 installed? Am I making sense?
Thanks.
