Street Atlas USA 2009 Crashes on start up

I have used Street Atlas 2009 for the last 6 months with no troubles. About one month ago it started to crash on start up once and a while. Now it crashes every time and I can cannot start the program . I have removed the program thur the control panel add and remove programs . I then reinstall it with the same results. My system is Windows XP with 2G ram. Is there some thing I'm doing wrong?
