DELL GPS 700 compatibility

Is there any information if the DELL GPS 700 is compatible with Delorme mapping programs: Street Atlas 2009 and/or TOPO USA 8?

I looked at online Dell support documents, but if the Dell GPS 700 outputs NMEA data to a COM port, that fact seems to be hidden, and I don't have time to search further. I did see:
