I can't say specifically since I'm not running SA, but Windows 7 seems to play nicely with older software (as long as it's not ancient).

I can't say for sure either, but I am running SA 2008 and SA 2010 on Vista Home Prem 64, so I think SA 2009 on Windows 7 should be OK.

I have Windows 7 on my new HP laptop and it will not install Street Atlas USA 2009 or Topo USA 7.0.

I tried using Laplink PC mover, don't waste your time with that program, good thing it was free with laptop or I would really be ticked off. I did let Laplink what I though of
their program.

Strange thing is that on my brother's new Win7 desktop, Street Atlas
2009 installed with no problems!

I see that Delorme site has a work around, but man what a job, I may just get new
2010 and not worry about it.

You may still need Street Atlas USA® 2010 Service Pack 1 with some computers to get it to run, and the SP has some other fixes.

I was thinking to just get the 2010 Street Atlas and also get the new
Topo, as I have both on my old laptop.

Thanks

There also may be an issue with 32-bit vs. 64-bit Windows 7 and SA2009. Maybe it works on 32-bit but not on 64. I don't know, but another thread had a guy stated he couldn't get it onto a 64-bit Windows 7 machine.

Ah. Found it. 2 threads down from this one! http://forum.delorme.com/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=21734
Are you the reason I'm so far above average?
