This is a long-shot, but is the microphone enabled in SA? Pressing F3 toggles it. (The word Voice on the tab turns red when it is enabled.) My thought is that if SA detects a sound, it might trigger the screen back on. Seems unlikely, however.

I am going to try to disable the "Disable screen saver" option and see if that does it. Maybe Win 7 routes the monitor settings through the screensaver programing.
Anyone else have any ideas?
