Creating a Verbose Installation Log

To create a verbose installation log for Street Atlas 2009, please follow the instructions below for your operating system. This could give us further information on how to resolve issues with a failing installation.

XP
Creating a Verbose log in Windows XP
1. Click on your Start button and choose Run
2. Type msiexec /i “d:\DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2009.msi” /L*v C:\SA2009install.log
Note: the red d designates your CD/DVD drive…if different, please change that letter.
3. Copy the sa2009install.log file from your c:\Drive and attach it to an email to Tech@DeLorme.com. Please include in the email your full name, phone number and a detailed explanation of any other behavior experienced during the installation.

Vista
Creating a Verbose log in Windows Vista
1. Click Start.
2. Type msiexec /i “d:\DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2009.msi” /L*v C:\users\MyName\Documents\Setup.log in the Start Search box.
Note: the red d designates your CD/DVD drive…if different, please change that letter.
Note: the red MyName is the name of your user account. Please change to reflect that.
3. Press Enter.
4. Copy the Setup.log file from your Documents and attach it to an email to Tech@DeLorme.com. Please include in the email your full name, phone number and a detailed explanation of any other behavior experienced during the installation.
